Statement on the anniversary of demise of Imam Khomeini and the bloody uprising of June 6th
Years passing, the events come I expect the eases on the mid of Khordad month.
The month of June (Khordad), along with the month of February (Bahman), is one of the unique months in the history of the Islamic Revolution. The popular uprising of June 6, 1963, which according to Imam Khomeini (RA) was a ray of Ashura of Imam Hosseini (AS), sowed the seeds of a religious-popular movement that flourished in 1978 and led to one of the most popular revolutions in the world. The June 6th (Khordad 15th) uprising was not just an event, but the beginning of a movement for a fundamental change in the attitude and deeds of the people in order to form a religious democracy. The demise of Imam Khomeini in June 1989 was another eventful scene in June (Khordad) in which the people of Islamic Iran showed their heartfelt covenant with Imam Khomeini to the world and showed an astonishing image of the unity of the leader & the nation. It could not be analyzed in the context of the concepts of the humanities and modern sociology. Thus, June (Khordad) has always witnessed epics of people. The epics that have been shown many times in the elections of different years and have shown the power and authority of the holy system of the Islamic Republic to the world. Khordad is a beautiful painting of the unity of the people and the sovereignty and power of the people to choose their own destiny in the heart of the Islamic Republic.
Abshar Atefeha, the International Charity Foundation, while condoling the anniversary of the tragic demise of Imam Khomeini and the popular uprising of June 6th (Khordad 15th) , invites the wise & revolutionary people of Islamic Iran to participate as much as possible in the upcoming elections and again emphasizes that active participation in strengthening the foundations of the Islamic Revolution and active participation in the electoral process are the basis of any correct policy-making and smart efforts to eliminate the deprivation and enjoyment of a dignified life for all Iranians.
